Products Liability
When a person is hurt by a product, whether in the home, at work, or during other activities, that area of law is known as “product liability.” We have noted a spike in the occurrence of such incidence with the recent recalls of children’s toys and products due to safety concerns. Manufactures reap substantial profits from consumers, often with little regard for the safety of their products. We utilize our depth of knowledge, experience and resources to represent our clients that have been injured as a result of a negligently designed or manufactured product. We have successfully represented clients injured by products in all field, including automobiles, heavy equipment, farm equipment, child safety seats and household appliances.

For example, in a case involving a poorly manufactured fuel system in a car, we actually brought a half of a car into the courtroom so the jury could see the product itself rather than just pictures. While cumbersome and expensive, it was the most powerful piece of evidence in the courtroom. We obtained the highest verdict ever in Lancaster County’s history in that case against General Motors. GM finally paid our clients over $13 million to satisfy the verdict.
